Opera Omnia Presents

Opera Omnia is a young opera company in New York City. Like all classical music organizations, we are dependent on the support of generous donors to make up the shortfall between ticket revenue and the costs of putting on an opera.

We recognize that times are tough for many of us, and that supporting an opera company is a luxury. The funny thing about recessions, though, is that they basically last until people decide to start spending money again. If you’re a political conservative, consider this your very own chance to demonstrate the effectiveness of trickle-down economics: the money will trickle down from you (the comparatively well-off donor) to the performers and staff (who certainly need the work). If you’re a political liberal, consider this your contribution to our very own tiny stimulus package. Will this little bit do anything for the broader economy? Nothing measurable, but neither does casting one vote in an election make any measurable difference—it’s the collective effort that adds up.

On a more serious note, are we really trying to say that it’s your civic duty to make a donation to us? Certainly not, but it is a great way to help out some talented artists, and to support a little company who are trying to do our part to maintain and grow the classical music business in the city. Our mission is to present opera in a fashion that is accessible and engaging to anyone, regardless of their music background, while also shedding new light on the genre for even the most experienced operagoers. With your help, we can grow into a vital and sustainable part of New York’s opera scene. Please consider downloading this form and sending us a donation to help us meet our goals for this production and for our future as a company.
